DXM are aligned with a number of Business Schools to support their MBA programmes. The challenge is often for DXM to test and develop the students’ competencies within the scope of their team and leadership potential. The locations for these programmes are various with one of our favourites being HMS Excellent in Portsmouth.

HMS Excellent offers the students the chance to ‘bed down’ on a Navy ship as well as the opportunity to participate in the Royal Navy’s Damage Repair Instructional Unit (DRIU), a sinking ship simulator. Representing the motion of the sea, the simulator rolls whilst cold water floods in from numerous ‘damage’ points. The damage requires the students to work as a cohesive team to repair the flood stricken ‘unit’ within a 45 minute timeline – pressure on!
