The DXM Network

Led by Founder & CEO Dave Davenport

Who we are

deus ex machina – ‘an unexpected power or event saving a seemingly hopeless situation’ OED

DXM was founded in 1998 by former Royal Marine Dave Davenport to provide a range of solutions to the Leadership & Team Development industry. Key products include: training programmes for teams and leaders, coaching and mentoring (team or one-to-one), executive development, presentation skills and experiential learning.

All of our activities are designed to challenge and stimulate individuals, whatever their level of experience.  We maintain a ‘challenge by choice’ style of delivery where individuals and teams are encouraged to make independent decisions.

By using evaluation and feedback techniques, we are able to enhance team and individual performance in the following areas:

• Camaraderie & Esprit de Corps (team spirit)
• Ethos & Culture
• Confidence
• Motivation
• Commitment
• Independence & Interdependence
• Coordination & Cooperation
• Strategic Alignment

Founder & CEO

Dave is an intuitive networker and team builder who honed his skills over many years planning and conducting military and commercial operations. As a former Royal Marine he served the majority of his military career within the UK’s Special Forces in many of the world’s troubled and conflicted areas often working with the indigenous forces.  He now uses this vast experience to organize a diverse range of activities and development events for DXM’s clients.

He is valued for his ‘can do’ attitude and ‘cheerfulness in adversity’ and most times is found to be having fun and smiling, even when wet and cold.  He also has the ability to connect with people across cultures and countries and pull diverse groups together into high-performing teams and to identify and develop leaders.

Dave’s view is that although there is plenty of team and leadership theory out there; ‘sooner or later you just have to get on and do some!’ so when not at work he can be found honing those skills training potential leaders for the Ski Club of Great Britain and leading club members around the Alps and Rockies.
